The children in Reception have enjoyed learning about machines around school and their local environment. Learning has included discussing how slow cookers work and their components (whilst melting chocolate for our firework wands); investigating pulley systems in our wildlife area; setting up a garage in our outdoor area to set our mechanics to work, and printing with loose parts such as nuts, bolts and spanners. We look forward to learning more about vehicles next week.
