Year 4 children were lucky enough to be able to use instruments and their voices to put together a performance for the whole school.
They sung to the beat of an African djembe, played instruments to a pentatonic scale as used in China and then chanted a South American samba.
This looks (and sounded) absolutely fabulous! Well done Year 4!
We are always delighted when Sowerby Music visit the school they bring professional musicians to provide a concert for the whole school to inspire the children, provide workshops for all our Y4 pupils and then these children get a chance to celebrate their work by performing in front of the other year groups in school.
These days are always one of my favourite in Applegarth. We now hold two concerts for KS2, Reception and KS1 to accommodate all our children and give them the best experience we can.
