Forest Friday 22.09.17

The children in Honeybees had a wonderful time for their first Forest Friday session.  The children chose a range of activities ranging from building habitats for woodland creatures, exploring the wildlife area and looking for acorns and natural materials, making delicious mud pies and muffins, as well as making leaf rubbings.  It was all going swimmingly well until the rain came and the soil became much more oozy and wet.  Puddles began to form and the children did what children do, got as muddy as possible.  They had so much fun and it was hard gathering them all to leave the wildlife area.  I’m sure they’ll all look forward to our next session.

  1. A great forest crew! It’s so good to hear of children enjoying the mud. Thanks to everyone and our new volunteers who joined us this week. I hope you enjoyed the session as much as the children did.

  2. Just fabulous photos! They look like they are having a ball!! We were asked why we don’t have a mud kitchen at home 😁

  3. What fantastic photos and from what has been relayed a fantastic time has been had! I could tell lots had fun had been had by the amount of mud Max had managed to get underneath his glasses never mind on top!! I can’t wait to hear about the next one
