Rev Fiona from All Saint’s Church in Northallerton visited school this morning to talk to Key Stage 2 children about the celebration surrounding Candlemas. Children heard how it had been 40 days since the birth of Jesus. Joseph and Mary visited the temple to present the baby Jesus, ‘Light of the World’. Children held candles and were still as the hall lights were dimmed…we thought about how we could be a light for others today.
