This week we have been discovering how Stone Age people lived and hunted. We discovered how they would have had to set a fire using flint and we tried to replicate this in the wildlife area. We created a shallow pit and the encircled it with rocks. Using a small amount of kindling, we created our very own Stone Age fire!
We then learnt all about Stone Age cave art and we will be designing our own Stone Age art using our own ‘rock’ background we created using tea staining. We are then going to apply our own art to these – look out for this coming soon!

It sounds like you have all had a good time outside. It is great to know that you eventually managed to get the fire started. I know it wasn’t easy! Essential for survival.
