As part of our learning about Ancient Egyptian mummification, children in Year 3/4 used a tomato to show the process of removing the internal organs, the cleansing, weighing then the embalming in salt. The tomatoes will be monitored over the next few weeks and compared with a tomato that hadn’t had anything done to it, but was still encased in a jar. We’re very excited to see the results, and already have some predictions as to what we expect to see! Well done, scientists and historians!
