Children in Year 3/4 have been learning about life in Yorkshire over 1000 years ago. We’ve been discussing how historians have collected evidence of Viking settlement and a little on the lifestyle of these settlers. Our historian time traveller, ‘Astrid’, even went to St Thomas’s church in Brompton to talk to Vicar Jonathon Cooper. He kindly told us about the Viking hogbacks that we’re discovered about 150 years ago when the church was being extended. We spoke via webcam!
