Coding in Penguins and Puffins

Children in Penguins and Puffins have been learning to code this morning using Scratch Jr.  They have been sequencing commands to create simple programs to control a rocket in space.  Some children had to adapt their program when they found it didn’t quite work how it was intended.  A mistake in a program is called a ‘bug’.  Children enjoyed ‘debugging’ their work to make it work correctly.  Next week they’ll be writing simple programs to make two characters talk to each other!  Thanks to Mrs Whiteley and Mr Rowland!
