Puffins visit The Dorman Museum

Mrs Crossley was right!  We have had a fantastic day at the Dorman Museum.  The Puffins were fascinated to learn about the similarities and differences between moths and butterflies and bees and wasps and impressed the workshop leaders with their knowledge.  In the afternoon they excavated a fossil and could even identify it as a plesiosaurus!  The fossil workshop required using lots of deduction skills to work out which part of the dinosaurs the fossils had come from.

Many thanks to all the staff at the museum for teaching us so much.  The museum is open free to the public and will be hosting events throughout the summer holidays.

  1. Thank you for arranging this visit! So many interesting things for the children to look at and learn about.

  2. Thanks to everyone who organised these visits. They built on the work in school, hopefully some may get to visit again.
A fabulous place and not far away. The children will be experts!
