Mr Rowland, Mrs Hughes and I worked alongside a couple of other teachers in the Swaledale Alliance to lead a day of workshops based around using technology in the classroom. Eleven schools, including Applegarth, brought along a small group of children to take part in creative activities that incorporated different elements of the curriculum. It was a fun day for all and the feedback told us lots of teachers learnt just as much as the children!

A great day at Bedale Athletic Sports Association. Mr Whitely planned, led and delivered with Mr Rowland sessions on this day. I have spoken to staff from other schools and the children. All have appreciated the efforts made to keep at forefront of innovation. Helping children from schools with the Swaledale Teaching Alliance to apply skills, meet pupils from other schools, learn NEW skills and develop the confidence to bring these back to school.
