Over the last two weeks, pupils in Year 3/4 have been comparing angles and using this information to help when classifying triangles and quadrilaterals. They have also been exploring symmetry and symmetrical figures before applying this knowledge to the completion of symmetrical figures.
I can see lots of children working in pairs discussing their findings. Discussion in maths helps build the children’s understanding and helps them to use the vocabulary more confidently.
