Forest Friday 14.12.18

Reception children in Honeybees had a wonderful time in the wildlife area.  Children enjoyed making feeders for the birds, building castles, using mud to sculpt mini Rudolph heads, making Christmas puddings in the mud kitchen and much more.  In class the children used a story map to begin to learn ‘One Snowy Night’ using ‘Talk for Writing’ actions.  Pupils were inspired to retell the story using figures, incorporate maths into play by counting the number of animals inside and outside Percy’s house and even draw their own story maps.

  1. Well done everyone. Whatever the weather our Bees take their learning outside. It is great to see the children applying their maths in context.
They all look fabulous in their Christmas Jumpers raising money for Save the Children.
