Before You Go…an Infinity poem

Earhart Class have been researching how people would feel as they said goodbye to a loved one, just as many did in 1914 as many men and women went to war.

We discussed and compared the different emotions and what would be possibly said; some ideas almost moved many to tears! Children then chose a sentence that they’d written that they were particularly proud of and it was included in the class poem. We learnt what ‘infinity’ meant and how an Infinity poem can go on forever, added to at any time.

The poem will be read out in class later this week. Great thinking everyone!

  1. Well done Amelia Earhart Class. Every line is filled with emotion. Remembrance Day is particularly special this year you have created a very poignant poem. We will display this in the school hall for everyone to read.
    Thank you.
