Y2 Puffins and Penguins visit to the Captain Cook’s Birthplace Museum 19.6.18

The Year 2 Puffins and Penguins had a super visit to the Captain Cook Museum in Middlesbrough on Tuesday.  As you can see from this small selection of photos, they had the opportunity to dress up, use VR Googles to experience what it was like for Captain Cook during his voyages of Discovery, paint animals in the style of Aboriginal Art, hold and sketch some artefacts and write what they had learned so far about the life of Captain James Cook.  We were very pleased with their prior knowledge and the way they listened and were able to ask and answer questions.

Thank you to everyone for making this such an enjoyable visit.  From the comments made by the children I am sure they would love to visit the museum again!
