Y3/4 Saxon and Viking exhibition

Y3/4 children showcased the incredible work they have done over the last term for their topic of ‘Traders and Raiders’ in an after school exhibition this week.

The exhibition was a roaring success, attended by many family members and children from other classes too.

Galileo class showed off their stunning Viking ship artwork and printing, Bell class displayed some of the writing inspired by their topic and some unusual and creative Saxon brooches while Darwin class showed off their knowledge of Viking gods with poems, character profiles and Saxon pots.

Feedback was welcomed and comments were gathered.

A huge thank you to all the children and adults involved and to the families who made this possible by their support.

  1. This is without doubt the best quality display of history outcomes from Y34 I have seen in our school hall.
Art work, writing all displayed or presented with care and style. Well done to the Y34 team! Children and staff.
Thanks to all who visited and provided their feedback.

  2. It is not often that Mrs Goodwin and I are rendered speechless, but we were when we caught sight of this exhibition. A truly remarkable, museum standard exhibit containing such a range of learning across all subjects. An enormous well done to all involved for their hard work in planning, creating and displaying the work.
