Internet Safety – Live Streaming

Live streaming seems to be becoming increasingly popular with teenagers but more and more primary schools are noticing APPs such as Music.ly and Live.ly are rising in popularity with younger children.

If your child has access to a phone or tablet, please try your best to keep up to date with the latest technology available to them.

Here is a link to a website that provides VERY useful information for parents:

Live.ly App – What parents need to know about the live streaming app

We want all parents to be aware of the three categories of danger for children when using the internet:

Conduct – Do the children use the internet safely and respectfully?Β  Are they being digital citizens and making the internet a better place for all?

Contact – Who are the children communicating with on the internet? Β Are privacy settings checked?

Content – Are the children accessing age-appropriate content on the internet?
