Seedlings at School

Ian Johnson from Groundworks visited school today to teach Year 3 and 4 children all about the health of trees, leaf recognition, seed dispersal and fruit life cycles.

We all learnt a lot about preservation too and are so excited that our seeds will be planted although they may not appear as seedlings for a few years…!

Thank you to Betty’s for sponsoring this project.

  1. Amelie said she loved squidging and mixing the compost and getting her hands dirty. She was excited to find an interesting leaf which was half green and half yellow! Thanks for another super memorable experience.

  2. Thank you to Mrs Hobbs for working so hard on developing our Gardening Skills area. It made the perfect setting for this activity and learning by the children.
