BAPTISM CELEBRATION

What a lovely end to a busy week! Year 1 and 2 children were lucky enough to witness the baptism of baby Dylan at All Saints Church this morning.

The children were brilliant participants and listened carefully. We celebrated at the end by singing “One more step along the world I go”

A big thank you to all the parents, grandparents and friends who joined us on this special morning especially those who helped out with walking to and from the church.  A special mention to Rev Fiona for being a wonderful host to Dylan for being the perfect baby!

This afternoon we continued our celebrations by working with Donneta to listen to the story of Jesus’ baptism and then learn about the similarities and differences between Jesus’ and Dylan’s baptisms.

We ended our day of celebration with a party! The children showed off their funky dance moves and they enjoyed some party food.

What a super day!

  1. What a fantastic week in Bees! A wedding and a christening in the same week! Well done to all the children involved in Betty and Harry’s wedding, to all those who went to church today and were such ambassadors for the school, and of course a big well done to all the staff and parents who helped pull both days together, no small task – thank you!

  2. It’s definitely been a memorable week for the younger children in our school. They get so much out of these experiences and it prompts really interesting discussions. Thank you to everyone from All Saints Church for making it possible.

  3. A big thanks to Mrs Jackson for organising this first for Applegarth and to Dylan and his family for allowing Applegarth to share such a personal celebration.

  4. What an amazing day celebrating baby Dylan’s Baptism at All Saints Church with so many children from Applegarth Primary. It was lovely to share in their learning experience, engage in discussions, see their beautiful pictures and most of all join in with the celebrations.
