The children had fun making their own wormeries with Mrs Hobbs. Β Some children also had a go at launching their own ‘Superworm’ using balloons, a straw and some string.

Good to see the wormeries. Have you seen the wormery on the school field?
Did you race your balloon worms?
I wonder if some balloons are quicker than others.
Will a short, fat Superworm go further than a long, thin Superworm?
It look looks you have had fun.
Great worm hunting everyone and the children could give clear instructions on how they made their wormeries.
The children look and sound to have really enjoyed being able to get a bit ‘hands on’ with some real worms and minibeasts, as well as doing all the creative things to make their own worms etc. There was lots of fascination about all the worms in our compost bin after this – not something that would normally be the case!
So exciting – I know that you’ve learnt so much and had a fabulous time doing it.
