The children in Bees have been using a range of equipment to make repeated patterns. Β Some chose to use cuisenaire rods, some chose plastic shapes and some even cut out their own shapes with play dough.

  1. The children showed just how they could extend their own learning – by creating patterns in colours, sizes and textures. Growing patterns not only in a linear way but outwards from a central point.
It was fun asking them to think about what came before their first ‘piece’ in their pattern.
