The weather was once again glorious and the children had a wonderful time learning, exploring, risk taking and exercising.  We firstly played a follow-my-leader game before reading a story called ‘It’s Not A Stick’.  The children had to use their imaginations and find interesting sticks which they could pretend was something else.  Ideas included hairbrushes, halos,  paint brushes and bows and arrows.  As we had a little time before lunch, we played the ‘helicopter game’ which involved the children competing in teams to form letters on the ground which could be seen overhead by a helicopter.

  1. …. and from what Mr Whiteley has told me there is already one person who used a compass successfully after only being shown the once! He will be needed on all the Bee adventures.
