As part of our new topic, we are learning about food chains and life cycles. To help us see these in action, we have set up an experiment involving exciting crustaceans called triops. Their ancestors lived in the Triassic period and we have set up their environment by following instructions. So hopefully in a few days we will have some class pets to help us understand the life cycle of triops!
But for now, we have to wait and carry out observations of the triops tank.
We will be blogging more about these exciting little creatures, so check back soon!

I can’t wait to see how the triops change over time. Do sea stars eat triops? That would be interesting!
I can’t wait to read the children’s blogs as they record those changes!
