Wow, what a way to finish the sessions! Science Club were lucky enough to be able to hold and study a liver, kidney and then a heart. They learned about the functions of the organs, how transplants can happen and why it is important to eat a healthy, balanced diet. Β For the least squeamish, Abbie dissected the heart and explained about the chambers, arteries and veins and some children stayed to touch and look closely at the internal structure.

This looks brilliant! I’m disappointed I missed this. Does anyone know which animal has three hearts?
Oh wow! What an amazing opportunity! I’m not sure I could have taken part in this session despite it looking very interesting.
